Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) are specifically designed to address and modify challenging behaviors exhibited by students, particularly those with disabilities or behavioral issues. The main objective of a BIP is to identify the reasons behind specific behaviors and implement strategies that can help the student learn appropriate behaviors and coping mechanisms. This involves collecting data on the behavior, understanding the context in which it occurs, and implementing interventions that are targeted and individualized.

While other choices mention important aspects of educational practices, they do not align with the primary focus of BIPs. Introducing new learning concepts, evaluating student performance, and maintaining classroom decorum are certainly valuable components of a learning environment, but they do not reflect the core purpose of a BIP, which is explicitly centered on managing and transforming challenging behaviors in a supportive way.
